Kauai County Task Forces

The Get Fit Kauai NPAC currently has four task forces and a steering committee. Each task force has their respective active projects, some of which benefit from advocacy effort.

Built Environment Task Force: Healthy people require healthy environments, neighborhoods, schools, childcare centers, and workplaces.
Healthy Foods Task Force: Besides providing physical activity and nutrition education, schools are in a key position to offer an environment that can promote healthy eating and physical activity.
Safe Routes to Schools Task Force: Safe Routes to School programs enable community leaders, schools and parents across the United States to improve safety and encourage more children, including children with disabilities, to safely walk and bicycle to school.
Worksite Wellness Task Force: Increase opportunities for physical activity and healthful nutrition in the workplace.
