Kauai's Great Weigh Out
2007 "Me 2" Companion Program

The Me 2 program is designed for individuals who are not on a Weigh Out Team and who want to participate individually in this healthy lifestyle challenge. It is open to all residents of Kaua`i 18 years of age and older.

Participants will:

• Be encouraged to participate in all KGWO activities
• including: hikes, fitness classes, walks and
• educational classes
• Keep a daily physical activity and nutrition log
• Earn points to win exciting prizes
• Receive a FREE Me 2 T-shirt**

Teams
Me2 participants will be grouped into three sections determined by residential address or by your work address (you choose which address you would like to use!) Ha'ena to Kapa'a will be Team Green, Hanama'ulu to Po'ipu will be Team Red, and ‘Oma'o to Kekaha will be Team Blue. Your team affiliation and team coach will be announced at orientation at the kick off event.

Pre-Registration
Pre-register December 18, 2006 through January 3 - February 09, 2007. You will receive 10 bonus points!

Medical Clearance
Complete the required medical clearance form. This can be done at your own doctor or you may qualify to use a Ho'ola Lahui Hawai'i/Kaua'i Community Health Center Clinic. Call Sharon de la Peña at 240-0197 for information.

Kick off Event Saturday February 24, 2007
Join us for all the kick off fun at Kukui Grove on February 24, 2007. The registration desk opens at 8:00 a.m.! Orientation will be at 8:30 a.m. If you have pre-registered** you will be able to pick up your t-shirt!. Pick up your Me2 information packets and n Nutrition and Activity Logbook. Enjoy the festivities at center stage and join us for fun activities on: Saturday, February 24, 2007, Kukui Grove Shopping Center at 8:00 a.m.

Nutrition and Activity Logbook
There will be lots of fun KGWO events: classes, walks, hikes, a bowling night, and more! Me2 Participants are encouraged to participate in all KGWO 2007 events except for the cultural sports day and designated team activities at the kick off event. When you attend and participate in these events, you will earn the allotted points (anywhere from 5 to 15 points!). A full schedule of KGWO events will be available in the information you receive at the kick off event.
