Kauai's Great Weigh Out 2007 Teams.
This year has 17 teams: Flaaab-U-Less, Go 4 Broke, No If, And or Butts!, Melt 'Um, Politically Challenged V, We Dah Bess, Dreamers Skinny Wanna Be-ers, Believers, Achievers, DOH-NUTS, Na Wilcox Wahine, Ohana Kuali`i, Hips Don't Lie, Flabulicious, Orange Crush, Da Programers, and Longs-gevity.

February 24th Weigh In Event.
The official kickoff event for the Kauai's Great Weigh Out 2007. 17 teams and Me2's come together to size up the competition. They participate in health screenings, individual and group weigh in's, cash machine, lunch, relay, trivia and the captain's parade.

Walk Your Way To Wellness
Saturday March 3rd at Vidhina Stadium, taught by Terri Halliday

Kids Too classes:
"Deciding to Live Healthy". Kids got a health screening, designed t-shirts using vegetables and made fruit smoothies with strawberries, bananas and 100% fruit juice. "Kids In the Kitchen".  Teen Helpers helped Kids to first learn some kitchen and food safety rules.  They worked in teams to make four different vegetable dips to taste with as assortment of fresh veggies. 

Bowling Night
Me2 participants of Kauai's Great Weigh Out 2007 enjoyed a night of fun, healthy food, and fellowship at the 2nd annual bowling extravaganza. There were over 50 adults and 20 children who participated. Bev Brody, program coordinator led several adventurous people in a game of crazy bowling.

Mahaulepu Hike
Saturday March 17th, KGWO enjoyed a stunning St. Patrick's Day coastline walk along the beautiful South shore. "The Mahaulepu Beachwalk" will departed from the beach access area by the Hyatt Hotel and was lead by Kauai Great Weigh Out staff.

Cultural Sports Day
The mid-point games gathering. All teams participate in the Makahiki Games including Hula Aerobics, Jan Ken Po, Refreshments, Tinikling - the Filipino Dance Troop.

Are You Label Able
Labels can be confusing when it comes to sugar. A food can be labeled "sugar free" or "sugarless" and still contain calories from sugar alcohols such as xylitol, sorbitol and mannitol. "The Power of a Positive Kitchen/ Are you Label Able" was taught by Sharon de la Pena at the Lihue Neighborhood Center, Wednesday April 4.

Charity Walk
On Saturday morning April 7th, The March of Dimes held their Charity Walk along the picturesque Kamalani recreation path. The event was attended by various Kauai Great Weigh Out team members.
