1.	Program Operation: Kauai's Great Weigh Out starts on Saturday, January 10, 2004 and ends on March 6, 2004. Kauai's Great Weigh Out Core Committee will be responsible for the operation of this program.
2.	Teams: Team members must be 18 years of age and older. Each team must consist of 10 members. Changes to team members accommplished by notifying Colleen no later than noon on January 5. There will be no substituting of team members or teams once team rosters have been signed and team members are weighed in on January 10, 2004. A participant may not compete on more than one team.
3.	Weigh In: Registration and "En-masse" Team Weigh In will be held from 10:00 am. - 1:00 pm. on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Kukui Grove Shopping Center, Center Stage. Privacy of individual weights will be maintained, but total team pounds will be publicized. A detailed schedule of "Weigh-In" times will be distributed at Captain's Meeting on January 3, 2004. * If a team member can't make it to the Weigh In and/or the Weigh Out, the Program Committee will accept a doctor's statement verifying weight.
4.	Dress For Weigh In and Weigh Out: During the Weigh In and Weigh Out, coats, sweaters will need to be removed, however, shoes, shorts, trousers skirts and undergarments are to be kept on. All pockets in clothing must be empty. Team members are requested to wear their team t-shirts.
5.	Fit Buck Policy: Team members may earn fit bucks at sponsored events and classes offered through KGWO program. Additional fit bucks may be earned by recording the amount of fruits/vegatyables and personal excerise time in the Nutritona and Activity Log Book.
6.	Fit Bucks will be awarded for bringing guests to KGWO events. Each KGWO team member will be given fit buck credits for a maximum 5 guests per event. Me Too participants DO NOT qualify as guests. Children attending and completing KGWO weekly walks and monthly hikes DO qualify as guests.
7.	Injuries: Kauai's Great Weigh Out Program is not responsible or liable for any injury or bodily harm sustained by participants before,during or after the operation of this program. Participants will sign a waiver prior to start of program. Before registering for this program, discuss your plan with your doctor. Be sure to receive clearance from your physician prior to participating.
8.	Media Release: Kauai's Great Weigh Out team members may be photographed as part of publicity to promote Kauai's Great Weigh Out program. The requirement to request participant permission prior to media release is waived for media releases that positively promote the program in the form of photos, TV, newspaper, and radio.
9.	Prizes 1st and 2nd Place: Prizes will be awarded to the two teams that lose the most percentage of weight and the two teams that earn the most Fit Bucks. Your team may only win one prize. Members of the Core Committee are not eligible to win prizes.
